Panthers Martial Arts would be nothing without its team. We are so proud of the instructors and staff that help make our school the very best in the business.

Joining the Panthers Team is no easy task. You must be, not only an accomplished martial artist, but a caring and respectful teacher as well. We accept no less. Read below to learn more about the amazing members of the Panthers Martial Arts family.
Master Al Quiceno

In September of 2010, Master Al Quiceno celebrated his 30th year of training in the Martial Arts.

A 6th degree Black Belt in TaeKwonDo and a 2nd degree Black Belt in Okinawan Karate, Master Al trained for the 1992 and 1996 Olympics under 1992 Olympic Gold Medallist Master Herb Perez. Master Al has won over 100 Gold Medals in Full Contact fighting competition; his fighting nickname was "The Colombian Little Evil"

Master Al is the owner of Both Panthers Martial arts schools located in Suffern and New City NY. He has been inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame and has been nominated as the TaeKwonDo Master of the year in both 2004 and 2005.

Master Al is the founder of his own Martial Arts system which he has named "Smart 1 Do" or "The Way Of The Smart Individual" which consist of Martial Arts and Body Conditioning training. It is based on basic kicking, punching, sweeping, grappling and pressure points, but most importantly: foot work. His philosophy on fighting is "You Can't Hurt, What You Can't Hit" This new combination of exercise and martial arts is a reflection of Master Al Quiceno's two word fighting philosophy: "Distraction and Destruction"! It is simple for anyone to master and hard enough for any one who goes against it.

Master Al is also the Creator of his own Martial Arts TV show, "Martial Arts World", and has trained over 5,000 students ranging between the ages of 3 to 65 years old.

Master Al owned his own advertising company L.M.B "Love My Business" His magazine was distributed all over Rockland County.

Master Al is also the owner of Panthers Martial Arts Supply located in Teterboro NJ, Where he distributes Martial Arts Supplies to other TaeKwonDo, Karate, and Kung Fu schools all over the United States.

His latest Adventure is the Creation of his Own Mixed Martial Arts & Motorcycle equipment and apparel line "Fearless Club" where not only he focuses on Fighting equipment but Sponsors Fighters all over the country.

His Fearless Club Company is the biggest sponsor of the New Breed Fighters company owned by Mr. Scott Morgan, where events are held 4 to 5 times per year out of the Resorts Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City.

Carrie Quiceno





Carrie is Master Al's Beautiful wife and also Panthers Program Director & Panthers After School Program Coordinator.

A 2nd Degree Black Belt in TaeKwonDo who started her training at Panthers with Master Al on October of 2001. She has represented Panthers in many TaeKwonDo tournaments, winning several gold medals in forms and board breaking competition.

Carrie has a severe heart murmur condition which makes her training extremely difficult. Carrie is scheduled to take her 3rd Degree Black Belt test in June, 2011. where regardless of her heart condition she is expected to complete a few challenging tasks such as 7.5 mile run, jump rope 3,000 times, perform all of her Taekwondo forms, full contact fighting, play chess and several board breaks.

As usual, Carrie proves to us all that "Where There is a Will is Definitely a Way".
Master Bob Sacks





Master Sacks is Master Al's right hand man in teaching the Taekwondo Adult's program. He began training in the Martial arts at the age of 24 in 1988, in Astoria, Queens, under the instruction of Grand Master Tiger Kim, and his twin sons, the Tiger Twins. After the untimely death of Grand Master Kim, he continued his training with Master Kil Sung Won in Rockland County. In June of 2002, Master Sacks received his 3rd Dan Black Belt Certificate from the Kukkiwon. Master Sacks works as a Sales Engineer for Arista Air Conditioning in Long Island City, and lives in New City with his lovely wife Marcy, and two sons, Brian and Dean.

In 2004, he joined Panthers Martial Arts and tested for his 4th Degree Black Belt becoming the only Master at Panthers aside from Master Al Quiceno. Master Sacks has given and continues to give his time and love for the Martial Arts to most of the students here at Panthers. His humble ways and supportive attitude has helped Panthers grow in many ways. It is our honor an privilege to have him as part of our TaeKwonDo Family.

Master Sacks is scheduled to take his 5th Degree Black Belt test in June, 2011 where one of the requirements he most meet is a 10 mile run and jump rope 5,000 times as part of his test.
Master Jonathan Quiceno



 

Master Jon Q. A 4th degree Black Belt in Taekwondo and one of Panthers main Master Instructors teaching students 5 to 6 days a week.

Master Jon started his martial arts journey under the instruction of his father when he was only 3 years old. He has competed in many local and State Championships winning several gold medals in full contact fighting, forms & board breaking competitions.

Master Jon is also Panthers MMA instructor and has a big weight on his shoulder as it is his responsibility to take Panthers Martial Arts to the next level.

Brandon Quiceno





Brandon Quiceno (a.k.a. Brandon Lee) named after Bruce Lee's son, this young and very talented 15 year old is Master Al's youngest son. Brandon Lee, a 3rd degree Black Belt in TaeKwondo started his Martial Arts training when he was only 2 1/2 years old.

After 12.5 years of training, Brandon Lee continues to train 3 to 4 days a week after school and has already started to teach students ranging from white belts all the way up to second degree black belts.

Like the rest of his family Brandon has also been competing in many local and state martial arts championships winning several gold, silver and bronze medals in full contact fighting, forms and board breaking competitions. As of today this young man's dream is to follow in his father's foot-steps and own his own martial arts schools or take over the family martial arts business.

Brandon Lee is Scheduled to take his 4th Degree Black Belt in June 2011. Becoming the 4th Master Instructor here at Panthers Martial Arts.
